I left my toxic job earlier this year. Im in my 40s currently sending out my resume.I’m getting tired of these rejection letters. I realize AI has taken over a lot of jobs I’m exploring going back to school for healthcare but wondering how long is that going to take and if I’m up for it. I’m applying on indeed and Glassdoor. Any other suggestions? I’m an account manager, open to insurance companies, customer success management. I’ll even do property management at this point. Thanx for listening.

It's a terrible time to land a new job. But they're out there. Sign up for the free trial of Premium LinkedIn. Keep trying and apply to everything that you think you can do. Someone will see your value!

Are you networking and connecting with people in roles/companies you're interested in? That will get you a lot further than strictly applying on-line. And in regards to job boards, there are some niche job boards out there that will have less competition that Indeed or Glassdoor. I did a video on some recently if interested.

You can't simply apply. Use your network and post regularly on linkedin and other forums where your voice can show your expertise in the areas you excel in. Take a bold approach to your search and if you can take the time to reach directly into places that you have interest in job posts or not. Good luck!

    1) Make sure your Linkedin Profile is up to date and completely filled out. If your profile is up to date and complete, you should be getting calls from recruiters. 2) When you apply, apply for hybrid or onsite positions. Remote is sure to attract too many applicants. 3) Apply directly on insurance company websites, property management websites, and such. Try utilities and educational places as well. Keep in mind if the job has been out there for more than 2 weeks, your chances for success go down so be sure to apply to the freshest jobs. LAST, use your network. That doesn't mean sending LinkediN messages to people you don't know from anything. Maybe you went to the same university is always good.

No advice, just sending you sympathy. I'm in a similar boat.

Maybe try your hand in "coordination" type of roles if you're interested in a career pivot?

Operations coordinator, Logistics coordinator, Event coordinator, Project coordinator, Communications coordinator.

    Or replace "coordinator" with "management".

Since your customer relationship skills are likely very strong, you would probably be a good coordinator of people as well. If you're willing to take a shot (cause why not?No harm in applying, right?) See if AI can transform your responsibilities and accomplishments in your previous role into a "coordination" or "administration" type role and just apply! You might be surprised with what comes back.

Take ur job search activities a step further. If u see a job u like on indeed, search for the corresponding company and try applying directly on their site (this will also weed put some invalid postings). Also search linked in for ppl at that company who have worked that role and tailor your resume accordingly and also look for any connections to your OWN network that may be able to intervene and make a proper introduction for you.

In hindsight my instructions r out of order but im too lazy to retype. Pls apply common sense and best of luck!

It’s the market right now. It’s not in our favor.

I am in the same boat; it's very disheartening and discouraging when you know your skills and have talent and just want....need to add value personally and professionally. Hang in there.

I've very humbly been messaging my connections on Linked In for ANY help, leads, resources and even reviewing my resume. I also have been branching out to other industries - supply chain, marketing, administrative but to no avail.

At some point, you realize ageism is an issue. I found a job to pay the bills and have health insurance. I have continued to look for jobs, but it is tough out there.

I’m experiencing the same. Left my toxic job earlier this year - it was effecting my health. In the last 6 months I’ve had one interview.

I have years of experience and skillsets in administration and operations. I don’t want to settle for an entry level job however, it looks like I may need to consider. Wishing you and all black women growing this this season the best of blessings.

My friend applied for every single job in the area matching the salary she wanted. I think it was like 125 jobs. She got 15 interviews, 2 job offers.

I am not that motivated. I applied for a few jobs, got hired at one, and really don't want to move on. I have had enough jobs with toxic coworkers and managers that I find a place that is chill, I am there.

Alright, check this out—dove headfirst into the job hunt jungle last month and got slapped with rejection after rejection, felt like a never-ending loop, kinda like grinding in a game where the loot never drops. Stumbled across no-verification-casinos.com while procrastinating and it hit me—sometimes you need the fast lane, not the endless paperwork grind. Been juggling applications on Indeed and Glassdoor, but honestly, branching into insurance or customer success seems smarter than beating my head against the same wall. Thinking about healthcare classes too, though the timeline’s daunting, but at least it’s a long-term power-up. Even peeking at property management feels like a legit side quest to keep momentum alive while hunting the main prize.

Astronaut crash game https://astronaut.game/ is an online crash-style betting game with a space theme that turns risk and reward into a thrilling experience. Players place a wager and watch a rocket launch, with a multiplier climbing as long as the craft stays aloft. The challenge is deciding when to “cash out” before the rocket crashes, because waiting too long means losing your stake. Its simple yet tense mechanics make it exciting for fans of quick, strategic betting games and high-volatility gameplay.
