Has anyone noticed a huge difference freelancing vs working in house?

I've worked both as a freelance marketer and in-house. My in-house experiences were awful. There was screaming, gaslighting, and the whole works. But that's not my experience as a freelancer. My clients are happy with my results. I pretty much plan out their strategy without any complaints or pushback. I just find the two extremes very weird.

In my experience, it depends on the company. I've freelanced at some companies where I've virtually been treated as if I were an employee with very few exceptions. I've also freelanced at companies where I was excluded and blocked from many things because of my freelancer status. Obviously, the prior situation is preferred.
