I work full-time for a small chain of ACE Hardware (most are individually owned and operated) at a store that is being closed. I have been transferred to another store and was told that I would get the same amount of hours. Next week will be my first week at the new store and I'm not scheduled for anywhere near full time hours.

well, next week is a holiday week...right? and perhaps their November employee schedule was already made out. If you have that "promise" in writing...then be patient for a week or two. The December schedule should be coming out soon and you should be getting your yours. If not, speak with HR or whomever is in charge of your transfer.

Speak up that your position is supposed to be full-time. If you have an email or anything in writing, bring that with you. Could you be scheduled for fewer hours due to the store being closed on Thanksgiving? If so, is it perhaps a paid holiday for full-time?

Unfortunately, nothing. I plan to talk to HR and ask for it.

Use your words and ask about your hours.

Speak with your manager. It might just take them awhile to work you into a FT schedule.
