I am a recent hire as an analyst at one of the big 4s, and I want to work in marketing roles. Cannot switch internally, since the company mandates you to wait for a year and a half. I've been thinking of looking for new jobs in the field of marketing. Any suggestions when I should start? Should I start as an intern? Since I have no experience in this field. I am open to work anywhere, within India or internationally.

Congratulations on getting a new job within a large company. Working for 1-1/2 years before switching internally isn't a bad thing. It gives you the opportunity to learn about the company and prove your worth. I recommend that you keep reviewing the internal job postings and see what kind of marketing positions are being posted and what skills those positions require. Then figure out how you can gain those type of skills in your current position.
