Having friends is so important during challenging times. I am thinking that challenging friends are too much to handle right now. Work stress is so much and family stress is argh!!!

I agree that there's already enough stresses to deal with. Friends are suppose to provide a way to relief stress not to add. Start with understanding the why and hope everything works out for you. Sending you supporting vibes.

Real friends will understand you are going through a tough time right now and if they can't help you, at least they won't do anything to make the situation worse. If friends are making unreasonable demands, there is a small but powerful word to start using much more often: the word "no." Also remember that when you are around true friends, you usually feel peaceful. If you start feeling stressed and alarmed when your phone shows that this person is calling or texting, especially if this person only seems to contact you when they want a favor, your intuition is trying to tell you something.

“Friends” who drain my time and energy have thankfully removed themselves from my life. I held on to too many friendships because of the time I put in, but sometimes people just grow apart. It’s okay if not every friendship lasts a lifetime

I have to agree. I’ve cut out a lot of so-called “friends”. They did drain my energy emotionally. I’m aging and no longer have time for petty jealousy and nonsensical games.
