How does your employer/organization handle compensation for increased responsibilities? As an example, let’s say one manager is taking over three teams, increasing his count of direct reports from, say, 9 to 25. He is technically still a manager at the same level, but by taking over those teams, it streamlines a department and raises the scope of expectation significantly.
Is it unreasonable to expect a raise?
What type of increase is customary?
Is it common to accelerate the manager’s annual performance-based increase and consider that the extent of the compensation for the change?
I would love to hear about how something like this is handled in other companies, if anyone is willing to share past experiences.

Layoff to cover retaliation
Help: I'm trying to figure out my next steps after a devastating situation. In short, I filed two HR complaints regarding my first and second line managers due to a very hostile and discriminatory work environment. Within a couple of months, the company instituted a mass layoff which curiously included my role, even though I was a high performer. Within 30 days of the mass layoff, however, they reposted my role. It feels a lot like ongoing retaliation.

After I cut ties with my former employer, I closed out that role on LinkedIn.
I'm finding that the interest I received previously especially from recruiters has vanished. Did I mistake and should I have kept that role listed until I found a new position? If so, is there anything I can do in the interim to pickup traffic again to my profile?

Toxic Work Environments:
I see so many conversations on here about toxic work environments. People discussing what is vs isn't toxic and the like. I would love to have a post dedicated to that topic. What is YOUR definition of a toxic workplace? What are some of the toxic behaviors you have dealt with that encouraged/forced you to leave OR how you handled it to make the situation better?

I have a moral quandary I'd love some insight on. I spent all fall legally breaking my company into entities. Recently, my small company divested of one of those entities, and that entity wants me to come work for them. There is nothing against it in the inter-company agreement. I feel a great loyalty to my boss, but don't have much confidence in Senior Leadership and this new offer is infinitely more fun (although along the same lines) as my current job. So, we'd haveto handle the transition carefully so as not to damage relationships. What would you do? Are there any other factors I'm omitting to consider? Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and expertise.
