Hello community. I resigned from my last position nearly a year ago. I am actively job hunting now. I've seen some advice that I should address the gap with a specific entry on my resume, as if it was a job, but to call it something like "Career Break" and possibly list what I've been doing. Has anyone done that? Any advice to share?

Address it ass if it were a role!

Many things! I'll highlight a few. I managed an external renovation project on our house (I am a Project Manager) to successful completion. (This is one of the reasons I left my last position, the project was not going well and either my spouse or me needed to step in to protect our investment.) Completed a Rosetta Stone course to learn Spanish. Currently finishing up a Udemy course on Scrum in prep for the PSM certification via Scrum.org. I'm enjoying the course and should have my certification by the end of the month. Lastly, and this I probably wouldn't mention on my resume... I've done what my husband calls "The Great American Clean Out", organizing and/or donating household items. It has been amazing to have the time to do that! Thank you for responding.
