I'm not alone in my burdens . .

I'm not alone in my burdens . .I'm finding it incredibly stressful finding a good hourly pay compensation employment position.. why ? because I know in my gut companies that offer benefits are not looking to spend higher premiums for older applicants.. I'm now 59 years of age and endured one year, one month and 5 days without a job... never in my entire working life have I been out of a source of income for such time. I recently obtained a part-time position only because my sister made it happen at her long-time employment company.. I'm so far down the rabbit hole in debt and poverty that the 14 to 16 hour schedule I've been working is not making a dent or getting me out of the deficit I am smothering in . I also have been unjustifiably denied snap benefits because my case file was grossly negligent in processing .. I was told a number of times that it's got a lot to do with my being the 'wrong' color.. and well .. I cant dispute that at all.. I'm white. and so be it.. I'm suffering care do help me ? care to consider my burden to effectively assist me? It's been 9 months now with no food assistance and I'm lucky if I earn $800 a month in income. tell me .. how would this limited income affect your life ?

If I only had $800 / month, I would have my stay-at-home spouse go back to work. For your situation: Look for lower cost renting (There are places where you can get low income housing) if you haven't already done so. Contact the local food bank and see if you can get some free food. If you went to College, reach out to them to help out with your job hunt (resume, job bank, etc.). Local government has people to help with job hunt as well (there may be a backlog of people asking for help = wait in line). Hope this helps.

Look at state jobs, county and city/government jobs. I had to take a lower paying job and I get it. I didn’t qualify for squat. I lost my home but survived. Pay what you can, go to the united way, and see if they can negotiate a lower payment plan (but many times you can call your creditors yourself). Look at any full time job and government tends to hire seasoned workers. I’m also a state employee and I’m 59 soon to be 60.
