The Harsh Truth: Your resume isn't selling you, it's listing you.

Still not getting interviews?

Chances are your resume reads like a job description, not a value proposition.

Recruiters don't want to know what you're responsible for, they want to know what you've accomplished.

Fix this now:

Replace "Responsible for...." with action + result.

Quantify everything - Metrics get attention.

Lead with impact, not tasks

We are taught not to "brag" on ourselves so identifying accomplishments can sometimes be hard. Try asking yourself, for each job you've held, "did I do a good job there?" And if the answer is yes, the follow-up question is "prove it." Day-to-day responsibilities won't be proof, that's what you were hired to do.

i don't agree that adding metrics is always appropriate because i can tell when it isn't true in my field and when it's meaningless and just there to meet that criteria. in some jobs, it is really hard to actually get a metric for every bullet point. it's too bad this is being pushed so hard right now because it undermines complex research work that is metric free.
