So it looks like there’s some new spam here. There’s a spate of people asking job search questions that are very similar (AI?). It’s too bad. This was such a good site and now it looks like no one wants to engage because of the spambots.

So true. It's hard to even find the real posts among all the spam. This was a really good site before that happened; I wonder if it could be transferred to a more secure platform or something. It seems to me that there should be a way to delay posts until a moderator approves of them; even some Facebook pages have that. Even though we get annoyed with "select all photos that have bicycles," something like that might keep the bots off the site. I truly don't even understand the point of most of the spam; I don't think it gets them any customers. If I run a pizza parlor in my hometown, it would make more sense to market on a local dining website than to someone on another continent who is on a website that has nothing to do with food.

I think spam is the point of spam.

I think it started going downhill when the original owners/creators sold it...

I've been on this site long enough to remember when it was much more vibrant. Then the original creators were unable to get more VC/startup funding and had to lay off staff. Which is unfortunate because it was really starting to grow. Not long after that, the site was sold to The Muse. Attempts were made to revitalize the VIP program, but The Muse's interest in maintaining the site waned pretty quickly. Now it's a shadow of its former self. There are so many smart, talented women on this site that have benefitted from the support and insights gained here. It's sad what it's like here now.

I also saw there are no events coming up.

It's odd, I can't post a new thread at all...... but AI bots are posting continual new threads about very random and odd things.... like "Robinhood for all your investments".

Are Admins looking at this site, and removing flagged threads?
