I have been working in customer service for about eight years, but I want to make a career pivot into data analytics or project management. I also have prior experience in both fields. How the job market is currently, it has been challenging finding an entry-level position.

    It may benefit you to get a PM certification in order to make a change like the one you are looking for. Or apply to be a project management assistant or admin, work under a PM and get additional experience. Tailor your resume to show more project management or data analytic skills, as opposed to customer service. Let those be at the forefront. I hope this helps.

    Are you still working in CS? Some companies do offer some tuition assistance and getting into an entry level role that is a pivot is easier if you are an internal employee.

    You definitely want to take classes and obtain certifications for which path you choose.

    Take a PM course first.

    Maybe you're actually looking for a product manager role, which uses both skillsets.

    Even candidates with the degrees or certifications, and the experience, are finding the job market difficult. If your company is big enough to offer something internally, I would do that.
