While I recognize it's a difficult job market, I've been searching for almost a year without any offers. At the beginning and through the 6-month mark, I was receiving an occasional interview but was told during final rounds, months later that they went with an internal candidate. Reach this point in my search, all communication has halted. I'm reaching out to my contacts, current employees at companies where I'd work and job posters without any response.

I've revamped my resume so many times that my computer is filled with applications, cover letters and portfolio examples. I follow up, reach out to HR and check candidate profiles and job stay as received or new for months. Some companies have kept applications open so I can't even apply for another one with their organizations which is a new development.

I've taken assessment test and told that congratulations I passed and then radio silence. I've tried utilizing my 15 years of marketing experience into other industries and was told while they valued my skills, it's not the right sector.

I recognize that but I need a job and if my industries are laying off, I need to find something else. I'm starting to feel that all the industry experience I've gained throughout the years and Hubspot & LinkedIn certification courses I've taken throughout my search to enhance my skills isn't working. I'd appreciate FB members advice as at this point, I'm not sure what else to try. Thank you!

Consider pivoting your search to higher ed or government or federal jobs. They tend to be safer. Look at your local college/university for jobs that may align with your skills.
