The statue of a slave owner was on the grounds of the first. I didn't think too much into it.

Depending on where you are located, many of those so-called statues were removed and replaced. Thankfully!

All people work hard, but some people don't but it has nothing to do with race or ethnicity. In my opinion. I've seen white men who do not work.

And your point? Guess we shouldn’t use either nickels or $2 bills….slave owner Thomas Jefferson is all over those.

LOl, the majority of slave owners were white men. I'm born and raised in the south. My family were slave owners, all white men. I'm not biased, I have family that were. Some white women owned them too. I agree, people of all genders and colors can be lazy. But as far as you telling me not to biased, I am afterall, born and raised in the south, and have seen slave owner statues removed. It's highly offensive to many of us here that slave owner statues exist. The owners were white men and the statues were white men. That's where I'm coming from.

As most, owned slaves before and after 1865. I've even read a letter from a great+ grandfather who gifted them to his children. Made me sick seeing that but it was the reality. It's part of the history that offends so many so the removal of statues here in the south is important for us all to move forward and not celebrate these tragic owners.
