At this point, you're just gonna have to take it... life happens.

Go on and take it. Having a cold might slow your thought processes a little, especially if you took cold medicine that makes you sleepy, but it shouldn't drastically affect your score. If you're tired, maybe drink a cup of coffee, tea, or cola before taking the test. Hopefully you will pass it; if not, see if you can retake it, explaining that you were sick the day you took the test. In the future, try not to wait until the last day to do something important; I'm guilty of it too and not criticizing you, but we will both do ourselves a favor if we get things done ahead of schedule. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!

It sounds like this was possibly assigned several days ago, but OP has been sick for the duration: "I’ve been sick since they sent and deadline is today, Sunday"

Hopefully they completed it on time, and weren't too heavily impacted by their illness or medication!

Correct - I sent an email to the recruiter asking for na extension and no response - I have till today to do it . It Russian roulette if I take it sick I might fail , or the rg may not allow extensions and then I’ll lose the opportunity anyway . Also it’s timed

It’s timed and I’ve been sick for duration . I have to pass test to get the job

i bombed the timed math portion bc of my slow processing from being sick . If it wasn’t timed I def would have passed . Guess it wasn’t meant to be . I emailed her asking for an extension and no answer so I took a risk .

You should ask for a retake, explaining your situation. If you never took it at all, it would look as if you were irresponsible/not dependable, and the deadline was Sunday, so at least trying on Sunday looks better than not trying at all. If they won't let you retake, that tells you something about the work culture there. I always believe that if I try my best but don't get what I was trying for, it is because a better opportunity is around the corner. Sorry to hear about the timed portion, but all you can do is all you can do.

I’ll ask and see what they say … thanks

If this is the 12 minute test you need to practice a lot to pass it. Companies who use these tests are not really worth working for of this is how they screen :(

You have a cold . Take the test. I wouldn’t hire someone who could not get the pre employment task done no way

    A bit harsh!

I failed as a result of taking the test with a cold and fever . The timed math and patterns sequence part was nearly impossible to complete while sick and with a fever . If it wasn’t timed I would have passed but due to slow processing while being sick I couldn’t finish . next time I won’t bother and move on to the next job tbh

There is a legitimate reason for an extension if illness would hurt your results. People are not robots and deserve a chance to give their all.

Send a note to the company and let them know you are ill. Ask if you can delay. If they say no then make a judgement call about things. I run a Talent team and frankly think time based tests pre-hire are BS.
