I am leaving a job that has been terrible and finally found a new job. My dilemma is that I have surgery scheduled the end of the second week of my 2 week notice which means I can only give one full week plus 2 days notice. Is it reasonable to just keep it at that or would it be better to offer to come back for 3 days the week after my surgery? I feel like that could work against me because in the past when I have quit jobs employers do not always take it well.
