Cynical or Tired?

Cynical or Tired?

I hesitate to wear my employer's logo gear. This is what our gifts of appreciation consist of, jackets mostly.

I would like to be proud of my job and it actually is not a horrible place but it is corporate and pretends it's spiritual and all about being not for profit. My coworker came into today with both shirt and jacket logo wear. For me, I know if someone asked about where I worked I'd do one of those Cillian Murphy faces. This babe has no pokerface!!!

I used to hate that too. Finally I changed my mindset to think of it as a uniform job and the freebies were like a uniform. I had 5 days of workwear and that was basically all I wore for my last 6 months on that job. It does make things easier once you get used to it.

Why not donate it to your local charity. There are folks who are clothing insecure and would be grateful for new clean unworn clothing regardless of your company logo.

Unless the office is wearing the company clothing in large numbers, you really don't have much to worry about. As a small business owner myself, I would rather use this money for raises and bonuses vs. a personal ego trip which most could do without.
