Is Salary Transparency Helping or Hurting Women?

I’ve been noticing more companies openly sharing salary ranges in job postings, and honestly—it feels like a big step forward.

For many women, negotiating salary has always been challenging due to lack of information or fear of being perceived negatively. Transparency seems like it could level the playing field.

But at the same time, I wonder—are companies just posting wide ranges without real intent?

Have you ever benefited from salary transparency in your career? Or do you think it's still not enough?

Let’s discuss ?

Posting the salary range is a definite step forward, but employers are playing all sorts of stupid games right now with job postings for jobs that don't even exist and having a candidate go through six different interviews before hiring them for an entry -level job. If the first interview is done well, that should tell the employer enough instead of having someone jump through hoops for months and then ghost them. In other words, salary transparency is a step in the right direction, but many more things need to change, and many things have changed for the worse in recent years.
