Pixar quick short film

Unfortunately, this behavior still happens when a woman enters a man's world or a business heavily dominated by men. Not here at GE but I have heard of recent incidents in other companies. I think it's a great little clip and expresses how you shouldn't need to change you to change a culture in a company. You can watch the short film here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6uuIHpFkuo&feature=youtu.be

A friend showed me this video...I'm not too pumped about women being shown as...yarn balls. If the men were also depicted as objects, rather than as humans, I'd be fine. Depicting women as non-human makes us more "other" than we truly are. Women aren't an entirely different species -- that's an old stereotype this film reinforces (especially with the BRO culture of the men, too. Nowadays, it's often WAY more subtle than this ham-fisted example). I think there are MUCH better ways to execute the message the short is trying to communicate.

I found this clip a few weeks ago and thought it was going to be a knitting video. Ha! I love the message of how Purl must reevaluate her own behavior when another women joins the office. Thanks for sharing!
