I am at a loss. I have never had an issue finding a job. I know the market is intense right now, but I'm not sure what to do anymore. I can barely land an interview at this point. I have a strong resume and my experience is in marketing and copywriting. I have references from past employers, including CEO and COOs for reputable companies. I've even tried applying for call center and retail positions. I'm that desperate. And still nothing. If anyone has any advice or if there is something new I should be doing that I'm not, I'm all ears.

You are not alone. I am in the same boat only on the Recruiting side. I know I am trying to transition into a more HR focus but I didn't think it would be this challenging. Even applying for recruiting roles I am not getting many hits. I don't have any advice. You are not alone!

I’m so sorry you are dealing with that. I’ve been there. Once I got into higher Ed I felt safer than the corp world. Not sure where you are located but there are marketing jobs posted in the Jobs section here. Lowes is listed and personally they are hiring big time. I work with employers to hire students and they have a wonderful culture. Also consider going to career fairs if your Alma mater allows alums to attend. September is the most common time of year for those. Hope that helps some but don’t give up!! The right job or a right for now opportunity is out there for you!

I'm so sorry to hear. Yes, it is like this.

    From recent experience, I'd say--

Keep at it. Treat it like a game. Get your numbers up. If you've got an ATS-friendly resume and are on the job boards, great.

Network. You may live in a place where by just talking to folks, you'll land a job/interview. For other folks, it's about digital connections and updated profiles and brands.

Take stock of your needs/finances. (Can you/ are you willing to move, shift locations, housing)? It's upsetting that it's that dire, but have that tough conversation with yourself.

Many career coaches would say to research jobs and wages and seek companies that recognize and pay your worth. Yes. I'd add---know your rock bottom of what you'd take. You may have to take it. Grow from there.

You may need to create another resume for your other skills. Marketing and Copywriting are great, but if you're not getting hits for it, what else can you do? Do you want to upskill in some area (or are you also skilled at Sales).

Lots of great advice online for how to ace the application and interview (including leveraging AI, ChatGPT, etc.).

    Good luck!
