    Thank you!

No, it's just very competitive in the market and there may have been a ton of candidates and the company doesn't want to continue to accept applications. I'm so happy you have an interview! You were on of the lucky ones. Good luck.

Not a bad sign. When posting, many companies will post a job for two weeks (or so) to gather resumes and start the initial round of interviews. Some will take it down after a certain number of resumes have been received. It all depends on the company's hiring policy, the type of position, and how competitive the market is in the industry.

Not at all! It means they feel happy with their candidate pool, which you made, so good luck!

No, not a bad sign, they unposted the role so that others don't think it's still in process and looking to apply. This is very GOOD thing that they've done. They need to pause and look at their candidate pool they have now and see if what they feel they need has applied. If reposted they feel they haven't yet.

Lots of places take the posting down when they have a sufficient number of qualified applicants. It's one of the reasons I encourage my clients to grab the info and save it somewhere so they can review before the interview.

They probably had a deadline for accepting applications.

I wouldn’t worry at all - this happens a lot!

(In fact, I am now working in a job that was originally posted in November 2023 and then removed when they had enough candidates and then was never posted again!)

Nope. When I post, especially if it’s a paid site, I will take down the posting after I’ve found the key candidates who I want to interview. I will repost the position if none of those candidates work out.

Definitely not. You made the short list. Clearly they had more applicants than they could handle or the just don't want to have to process more interested folks. It's actually a good sign, it means they are serious about filling it and are now going to get through interviewing the short listed folks. Be sure you ask how many folks they are interviewing, what the process is and when they hope to have someone in the role. Oh, and lastly why is the job open. Those answers should help your candidacy. Good luck.

My company often posts for only a certain amount of time - I wouldn't worry about it.

No, if I have enough applicants, I remove the job so I can stop going through resumes.
