I am working in a company where growth rate is really low.

I am working in a company where growth rate is really low. Got 6% increment this year that too in October, was hired in India team but have to work with Canada time in the night time. I work from 10 am in the morning and till 9 pm. Along with it, I preparing for Google from the time I joined this company. My Canada manager with whom I work with is very toxic. Micromanagement on the daily basis. I have taken 1 week leave to think about my next steps. I am thinking of job change since a long time, spoke to my manager about toxic work environment but he is not helpful at all and along with it, I am not succeeding for Google or any FAANG company. What should I do?

Is it just the one manager you do not like? I'm a little confused as to why you would get a 6% increase if you're not doing well

In India, 6% is pretty low for annual raises even though it sounds great to us in the U.S.

What? Your rant is kind of unclear. If you don't like your job, and feel underpaid, look for another one?

Seek a new job. You cannot fix your manager's behavior nor can control how they treat you. You can, however, control where you seek to work. If something isn't working for you and you feel like this, it's time for a change. Be a steward of your own journey. Good luck!

6% is pretty good these days, companies are giving very, very small raises (except for the unions that are making the news). I'd say keep your head down, and start looking for a new job while you still have one.
