I love working within the school system, especially advocating for children with special needs. But I have gotten injured so many times. I want to continue to work with the children but in a safe environment. Any suggestions?

Have you considered a career change to being a librarian? You could work in a school setting but in a safer space. You could also work at a non-profit (local or national) that advocates for children with disabilities/special needs. There are also private clinics or day care services you could work for serving children directly as a therapist or assisting with daily needs. Good luck finding a job that is better for you mentally and physically.

I agree with working with non-profit or local agencies that advocate for special needs kids. Perhaps a career in administration or Program Coordinator. If you're in Georgia, I recently saw a job posting with Emory. They have the Emory Autism Center. The university is looking for a Program Coordinator and especially someone who has experience in working with special needs or autistic kidds.
