So Frustrated and would appreciate any Advice.

So Frustrated and would appreciate any Advice.

I am so frustrated and I if I offend anyone inthe recruiting industry who may be reading this, I really don't care because I am ready to just give up on staffing agencies unless someone can reccommend a really good one that I have not worked with before that takes my situation which is the desire for full time job with salary and benefits. NOT CONTRACT.

I have been an EA for over 25 years at major and boutique financial firms. Ever since the pandemic, every single job I have applied to that is full time to companies directly sends me the automated rejection letter. I have hired professionals to evaluate and re-write my resume. Every other job I apply to for admin roles (most of them) are contract only (possible extension) The contract roles I have accepted are getting me nowhere except maybe six months at a time. None of the agencies I have ever worked with ever tell me why and maybe its that the HR department of the company I was assigned won't tell them. The bottom line is, I really don't care anymore. Every phone call I get, its all contract, contract contract and they barely speak coherent English.

The last firm I was at for six months even gave me a Christmas bonus as a temp. Then, right before Easter, I get a text from the agency saying my contract has ended with no explanation as to why, instructed to update my resume which I did so they could find me something else, I don't hear from them, yet I see they do have assignments on linked in available.

I can't keep putting myself in this never-ending exhausting cycle. I network,I apply as I said, directly to companies I am interested in. I read every job description through and through and its just like- ENOUGH ALREADY!

Even companies in other Sectors not financial like Marketing or Advertising won't even look at me because my background is predominately in finance even though my EA skills are transferable.

If anyone knows of anyone who is really serious about placing qualified candidates , I would greatly appreciate it.

You are taking out your frustration on the wrong people. The company you temped for is giving you the runaround, not the recruiter. Also, you're making a generalization and coming across as racist when you claim "and they barely speak coherent English." If you don't want to work contract and/or temp to perm, don't take any more assignments; you taking one of them already probably gives them the impression you'll take another one if they sell you on it.

If you don't want to work temp, why do you keep accepting temp assignments?

Because, if I am not doing something, then I have gaps in my resume. Every recruiter I have worked with KNOWS- I don't want to do more long-term contract jobs because it keeeps me in this cycle. And I have applied to tons of companies directly, had my resume re-valuated more than once, but so many of companies these days favor the internal canditate because by transferring an internal candidate, it eliminates cost. I also network and belong to other job support groups. That's why I am looking very hard for full-time positions; its a lot harder than people on here who have one don't have one to understand. Iwas like go from my full time job in 2022 Due to downsizing, and ever since, it's been so inredibly difficult .
