Waited for my first paycheck. My Executive mailed me one week of pay and then another check for two weeks of pay. Neither showed up, we live in the same city. Then a few weeks later I received one week of pay. Went to the bank, deposited the check. It was returned because the bank thought it was "fraudulent"! That is what I was told! Finally after 7 weeks I was sent another check for the two weeks and the corporation sent me, through DD, two weeks of pay.
Back story here is that I think my Executive hired me too soon. I think the Executive was told not to hire me till the end of July. Hence the personal checks.
Possibly, the Executive doesn't have the money either! I love the job but I am still waiting for another check for one week of pay! My Executive has turned it around so that I don't trust the Executive! Well, I don't, but there are a few other red flags. The Executive has no respect for me nor have I received one week of pay still. I thought I would just wait to have the Executive bring it up! NOPE! Not at all! Hasn't said a word!
I have been looking for other opportunities because I am at a loss as to why this has happened! Plus, why the heck would I stay somewhere, where I am not respected nor paid!
This is just the most bizarre thing I have ever dealt with! I have stayed because I need the health insurance and I really don't want on my resume that I have a lapse in work.
What rights do I have and what do you all think about this?
Thank you! I hope it all makes sense!
One more thing, she told me not to speak to Accounting or HR! Another red flag!! This is a nationwide company! I just don't understand!

My Coworker is Leaving....
Hi Friends! I lost my job in February, got a new job in March that I love ( great people, leadership, etc.) but my coworker who just recently got her masters is leaving. I am super excited for her, but super sad that she is leaving me. Her role is more intense, and she has been coaching/showing me how to do things, so when she leaves nothing will be left behind. Her role will be open, and I told her I was planning on applying for her role. Even though I am 2 months in, I feel I have done everything she does in previous roles ( the other admins here do not even do Power points for the executives), etc. She told me she is going to make it known that I want to take the job, but I also don't want to step on toes of people who have been here longer!
Do I take the plunge and apply??

I am really struggling now. Its been a whole year and a half applying to jobs and I have quite literally gotten nowhere. Only one interview which put me on a reserve list.
I am at my wits end. I can't handle all these rejections without getting feedback to understand where I am even remotely going wrong. I've applied to over 500 jobs now and just nothing (I would appreciate it kindly if you please don't say 500 is impossible, it is). I've quantified and tailored, kept it short and to the point with use of bullet points with a summary.
I have no option but to keep going but I'm about to become homeless (currently sofa surfing) but I would love some guidance - what did you do to even get an interview? Could someone kindly review my resume? Any thoughts aprreciated

I was written up for unprofessional behavior, including making false statements and accusatory language.
Everything I said was an actual representation of my perspective. How do I handle this in my rebuttal? How do I document the double-standard of my leadership being able to determine that I’m making false statements, when our director is making claims of situations that never occurred?

Hello, I am new to this group and new to HR.
Currently doing a Cert IV and do some HR at work.
Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on performance reviews - trying to engage employees more and was thinking of conducting an employee survey but wasn't sure where to start

Hello, I am about to conduct our first employee survey as part of our performance management review.
Any ideas on how I can word this so that employees participate? We have a very low moral amongst employees and am trying to engage conversation to get their input.
Should this survey be anonymous so that employees feel like they can express their feelings more?

I just graduated with a Bachelors degree in computer science and I am struggling to get my first tech position.
Any advice? I feel super discouraged with many of applications since November. Only a couple of interviews.
