5 years? No, I love making jumps after 3 years. Just more $ and challenging work.

Wish I’d had that luxury but I always seem to be the first to go during a recession.

10 years. I stayed as long as I did because promises were made. But then promises were not kept. Multiple times. I'd get my hopes up, only to have them dashed. I stayed as long as I could gaining as much experience as I could, but it was becoming clear there was no intention to promote me beyond the role I was in. And for me, it was even really about the pay/benefits - they were both pretty good for my area. But the fact that I wasn't going to be anything more than what I was.

I don’t have personal experiences, but I can definitely break this down based on what people commonly go through after spending 5+ years at a company< .

Hitting 10 years at my company and once we get out final stock option payout I’m going to start looking. There’s no reason to stay here if I can get an increase in pay and ideally a less crazy boss.

Lack of work life balance and flexibility, potential to grow and move up was extremely slow and with that, no training to do so. Not valued or appreciated.

I absolutely like this Fairygodboss conversation! It's nice to hear so many different opinions on the need of evaluating our professional trajectories, especially after spending so much time with one firm. Reflecting on my own experience, I understood that being in a new place might foster growth soccer random and innovation. Soccer Random is a must-try if you want a basic yet really exciting two-player soccer game.
