I have been in litigation with my ex over child support for the last 3 years.
The cost of litigation completely ruined my credit score (I went from Excellent to Fair). How much weight does the credit score have on my background check and consequent acceptance? I am aiming for a senior mngt role in supply chain.

Completely dependent on the rules of any company on when they use credit on offering roles using background checks. It costs more for them so this is a rare expenditure and typically saved for higher roles than mentioned. I wouldn't let this hold you back if offered the role, it's also a subjective outcome.
