The only thing I got back was one of the companies saying “here is our company’s website - feel free to apply to any of our positions”. I could have done that without fgb lol! I’m still confused by why they even bothered to send an email - they had my resume and would know much better what roles I would be the most suited to in their company than I would. I would have applied, had they suggested particular positions, but I certainly wasn’t going to waste my time applying for a position with them when they clearly didn’t see me as an immediate fit for one of their positions. Isn’t that the point of a resume drop, not to have to spend 6 hours tailoring a resume and cover letter for a position, just to hear nothing back? Frankly I found the resume drop to be very disappointing.

That's what I thought too! I've done two of them. The first one I did TJX sent an email to apply on their site, so I did, then I never heard anything back. Bummer, I had hoped others had a different experience.

I haven't, and many others here have said they've done it and heard nothing back. FGB hasn't provided any stats on how many (or any) people get jobs through this process. If they did, I'm sure we'd be seeing one of those "I love my job" posts about it. I like this site a lot and am rarely critical of the management here. But their silence on this topic through previous threads is rather telling. It seems to be a way for the parent company to monetize their membership list rather than a legitimate way to connect people with jobs.
