This is the time of year when people slow down, look around, and think about what they’re grateful for. But if you’re in a job search right now, this week can feel heavy.

This is the time of year when people slow down, look around, and think about what they’re grateful for. But if you’re in a job search right now, this week can feel heavy.

Job searching is hard. It can wear you down, shake your confidence, and make you question everything. I see it with clients all the time.

So here’s what I want to remind you of this week:

? Be yourself in every interview

? Be thankful for the nos because they clear the path

? You deserve a job that feels good

? Build your network one small step at a time

? Wanting a change is normal

? Take what you learn and keep moving forward

Thanksgiving week is a good time to take a breath, regroup, and remind yourself that you’re allowed to want more.

You’re allowed to grow. You’re allowed to outgrow the version of success you built years ago.

If you’re in a job search right now, I’m cheering for you.

Realize that you have overcome tough times in the past and you will do it again. It may be that relatives or friends you encounter over the holiday will know of a job opening or be able to help you in some way. Do something nice for yourself every day and do something every day that your future self will thank you for-- such as spending at least half an hour on job applications until you get an offer.

This is such a grounded reminder. You really have made it through hard seasons before, and you’ll get through this one too. And you're right — the holidays can bring unexpected help or openings through the people you reconnect with. I love the idea of doing one thing each day for your future self. Small steps add up fast, especially in a job search. Thank you for sharing this.

I find strength in connecting with God and making time to pray. I also find strength in knowing better days are ahead. We have a lot of things to be thankful for as well! A good practice I do when I'm feeling a bit blue is taking the time to write out 5-10 things I'm grateful for. When you channel positive thoughts/energy, it will surely comeback to you tenfold.

Love this so much. Gratitude really does shift the whole day, and you’re so right — when you put that energy out, it finds its way back to you. Making space to pray and reconnect with something bigger than yourself is powerful. Thank you for sharing this reminder, especially on a week when so many people need it.
