How to transition my accounting skills to another profession?

I live in California and have been working in accounting for a number of years. I've been the only African American person (woman/man) in the accounting dept at 98 percent of the companies I've worked for.

I've held FTE jobs as well as consulting jobs. I've had recruiters tell me that certain companies will not be a good fit due to the cultural make of the company or dept. It takes me longer to find a job because of the cultural imbalance of the hiring team (HR, Mgr, VP) at some of these companies. Even companies that tout they are "inclusive" don't always practice inclusivity.

What other industries can I transfer my accounting skills to that may be more diverse?

Media planning is a profession that is very number heavy. I spend a significant part of my days in spreadsheets and financial based tools planning where to spend money, actualizing, reconciling. Marketing agencies can be very diverse.

While there isn't the same earning potential, non-profit and government agencies will tend to be more diverse, especially those that target marginalized populations.
