A question for recruiters regarding Join Our Talent Community

Hello! Some organizations offer the option to "join" the talent community if you don't see a specific job that fits your background. Once that resume and online form is filled out, are you actually searching that database for candidates?

Would love to know if these are actually utilized. Many thanks for your input!

I am thinking that the lack of any input from recruiters says it all.

As a former recruiter I can say that I did, for most jobs, but, unless I remembered having talked to someone previously who would be great for it is a job I know we recently recruited for an should have fresh resumes that match in the pool, it was often after targeted reach outs and going through referrals and immediate applications. The resume database is one tool of many for finding the right people and it also depended on how good that system was. Joining the community is usually more useful for the applicant because it puts them on lists to get messaging when new jobs open, new programs launch etc.
