So.....

I had what I thought was a great screening call with a recruiter and she genuinely seemed excited about me the more we spoke. She was very specific that I would hear from her the next day regarding next steps. You guessed it-nothing now. I already sent my thank you note-no response. Recruiters-what should I do? Thank you!!

    Most likely you were there to fill her contact quota for the month. I've been there a few times, which is why I don't bother talking to recruiters or placement agency people. They draw you in with promises of great jobs (and the "hidden job market" only they have access to) then nothing. It's very frustrating because they get your hopes up for no reason.
