Good afternoon everyone,

Good afternoon everyone,

I am so honored to join this wonderful community

Many recruiters and department heads seems to focus heavily on a set routine for hiring, others have a great balance while, others tend to overlook key factors in hiring what could be an amazing candidate

What are your views on the weight that many employers placed on time out of the work force?

A surgeon does not forget how to be a surgeon after a few years of not practicing especially if that surgeon keeps a foot in the surgeon space in other ways.

Thanks for your feedback

I stayed out a year and a half after a layoff. There were not any immediate prospects and my youngest (adult) daughter had just been diagnosed with breast cancer. During the interview for the position at my current employer I explained that I had taken my time to look for the right fit and also helped my daughter through chemo appointments.

    They were compassionate and understanding.

June will be my 5 year anniversary!

    Hope this helps! Good luck!
