I would be interested in participating. This website was so helpful and supportive in the past. It's sad to see that it has become so overrun with irrelevant posts. Please let us know if someone is able to get this together. I would be happy to help with social media outreach.

see my comment to the OP's post. Ping me if you want to talk about pre-launch work on social media to gather people who are interested in joining a pilot. :)

I mentioned buliding a new site a few days ago and I've started working on it. I have +30 years of technical product work in early phase (zero-to-one) startups and I've built multiple online communities over my career. I've started pulling together the basics and I'll have something ready in a few weeks (maybe a month). Follow me here (or DM me if you want to talk) and I'll keep everyone in the loop

Thanks for doing this. I don't have the tech skills to do it, so I am glad someone was able to take up the challenge.

This is awesome Barb! If you want some help in thinking/talking things through, reach out.

I'm interested and if you need help generating graphics I can create/edit vector files and have some flexibility over the next month or so.

I am interested in helping too!

I would love that or help being part of building something like that. All I keep thinking is how it’s such a missed opportunity that no one is trying to build a new version of LinkedIn as well. It’s become such a worthless site where I don’t feel like anything real is happening. Everyone knows the hiring system is broken and if someone understands the backend of it, which I don’t think I do, to figure out how to fix it it would be amazing. A site to actually help people connect network and get jobs. Imagine that! I would be happy to help with it though. I’m not an expert, but man would I jump into that initiative!!

If you’re building something new, I’d suggest starting with a poll or some kind of feedback loop to understand what worked, what didn’t, and what people actually want to see.

This site had a strong start, but it quickly became more of an anonymous posting platform than anything else. There wasn’t much networking, job search support, or real community value. It mostly turned into anonymous opinions on posts that sometimes didn’t even feel real.

I would like to help build this as well. I've thought for a very long time that a lot of ventures for women are great, but missing vital pieces of the puzzle.

When the current site owners aren't happy with KPIs.

Not the current site owners , I think she means to create another one.

I can't post any new threads, and my community feed was empty. Are they selectively limiting some of us, or is the entire site a hot mess now?

Hi Sandra, are the workshops and all the offerings in Merity free, or is a paid subscription model? Thanks!

Looks like I can see the post stream and can post again. It was down for some time.

It's definitely an option, but perhaps we shouldn't give up on this site yet. The posts that I can see today are all job-related and the comments are helpful. It's as if the site is back to what it once was. Only time will tell; if it gets overrun by spam again, in that case, perhaps interested parties could form a group on Linked In to plan a new website.

I hope this site shows improvement soon. I don't want to give up on it yet, either.
