Have been with this company from the past 3 years, and the manager who trained and nourished me told me she is planning to leave next month. The Assistant Manager (ASM) is a toxic boss lady who only believes in dominating people and is power obsessed. I broke my back for a project i completed last week, with no mention and consideration for credit anywhere. On the contrary, the credit went to the person who was off ten days and came back a day before deadline, only because she is a friend of the ASM. i have never felt so used and manipulated and disrespected. any thoughts?

Ask your mentor where she is going and are they hiring? Will she be in a position to take you with her?

This is a you problem. Breaking your back for any job with the goal of getting recognition is never a good idea. Don’t break your back anymore. If you have a project that you are excited about and enjoy working on it that’s great. Do it for you. Having a good professional manager is a rarity these days. So

enjoy while you can and don’t be a victim to the toxic folks. They aren’t going away.
