For an interview? Probably my car if I can't arrange to be home at that time (my primary work location when I'm in the office is about an hour away so pretty much unavoidable if scheduled on a day I'm in office).

On a walk on the beach with a CEO of an international company. It was one of the best interviews I've ever had.

    Our extension, in our house.

Disneyland! Final interview for my current job, due to the President's travel schedule it ended up being the only time we could meet. Early morning in California so I just tucked myself in a quiet corner that had decent wifi and went through with the conversation!

Curious as the group's thoughts on best backgrounds for these interviews? I've found myself similarly scheduled and subsequently always stressing about my car interior background if I'm unable to blur out bg due to video call platform .. does anyone have tips/tricks to help with this?

Or the sweat factor from sitting inside hot car midday? :|

    Thanks!

Mine was in the quietest corner I could find in the New Orleans convention center, while I was working my current company's user conference. I got the job :)

In my car in the parking lot of the OB-GYN's office. The recruiter rescheduled the meeting without notice and I'd just left an appointment. It was NOT the vibe!

On my honeymoon in Hawaii. I got laid off just a few weeks before my wedding and started job hunting right away. I had the screening interview before my wedding, but the second round was scheduled while I was to be in Maui. So I brought a suit and tie and conducted the interview in my hotel room. TLDR; I got the job and they didn't find out until after I started that I was in Hawaii for that interview. ??

Does it matter where you have these Zoom type interviews in today’s world of working from anywhere but it is interesting to read about how people have managed to conduct themselves and impress the potential employers and got the job offer. So location has nothing to do with the end result. Congrats on all who managed this and got the job.

I used to work for a credit company, in a call center in the 16th floor. I got the interview right after my lunch, so it started in the elevator and continued in the cafeteria, but I didn't want everybody else knew I was in an interview and it ended in the emergency stairs.

I passed to next stage but I didn't get the Job. Recruiter contacted me a month later to know if I was still available but I got a better offer from other company.

Recruiter and I still being friends. XD

Not a zoom meeting but lately, I've been having issues with the cell service at my house and so my calls break up. I needed to make an important work call so I just drove down the street and sat in front of the grocery store to get reliable reception.
