Seeking HR/IT Insight on Slack Monitoring

Seeking HR/IT Insight on Slack Monitoring

I’m curious about how company audits of Slack messages work, specifically regarding reactions and deleted comments. If I remove a reaction (e.g., emoji) from someone else’s post, is that action still visible to HR or IT during an audit? Additionally, if I delete a comment I made, can HR or IT still access or retrieve the deleted content? Any insights on Slack monitoring and data retention policies would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I believe what a company can monitor and/or audit in Slack specifically depends on the plan that the company has. The plan my last company had made it so the company could only get a users history (including deleted and private dms) if they had a court order. I’m sure there are other more expensive plans that let companies monitor and audit whatever without legal intervention.

one should always only write, or add an emoji, on a company owned app or device that they are ok with others seeing.

Block Blast is a top choice if you are looking for a game to sharpen your thinking and spatial management skills. Some players have even reported being able to organize things much more neatly after playing the game for an extended period.
