Stuck and lost are the word that can describe my life now

Stuck and lost arethe word that can describe my life now

Hello everyone,I’m a 21 years old woman with no degree,no career path and no idea what to do, I was in college studying to be a medical technician,a choice influenced by parent who wanted to have a kid in the medical field which I’m not sure I ever wanted to be.I had to drop out to travel to another country because mine was filled with insecurity ,financial and living crisis.

Now living by a close family hospitality(who is declining by time passing which I somewhat understand).

With no financial support,I had to find a job so I can save enough to live on my own which will still be financial struggle with my actual income. But now I’m mentally and physically stuck to make any decision because,

I never had to leave alone,

never had to be fully independent

I was raised by conservative and controlling parents having myself a calm temper I was never able to develop any real social skills to the point that I’m struggling with basic thing needed to live as examples:(I had a panic attack just by trying to buy a perfume in store,I couldn’t keep up with the social interaction needed in the process and I’m still struggling to take the bus by myself.)

I was smart and calm just like expected me to be by the people around me but now they are no longer here I have no idea of who I am and what I wanna do with my life and even when I think about it my possibilities looks so little that it destroyed my whole faith in the future

I though about seeing a mental health professional but I’m still financially and mentally stuck to do so.

Any advice or guidance will be really welcomed

It sounds like you have had to deal with so very much in your life. Firstly give yourself credit for surviving and striving. Also note that you are 21 and it is normal and rational and reasonable to feel lost and stuck and overwhelmed. No one has it all figured out at 21. Even if they seem like they do. Even if they think they do. You know you have learning and growing to do and that is the best place to start. So credit due to you and take it. If you are dealing with (understandable) anxiety and panic. - there are free resources available in various states and places - but one app that might could help you is: FreeCBT. There are also free podcast and you tube videos which address Cognitive Behavioral Therapy concepts and tools. Give yourself some grace and hang in there. Your drive to be healthier and better will take you far!

Thank You from the 21 years old woman

Your words mean a lot for me knowing that it’s normal for me to feel overwhelmed make me feel less guilty about it

‘cause seeing everyone around me telling how I don’t have any real problems at my age

growing in a community where ,mental health is not even considered as real or important dreams and aspirations are worthless,

physical and mental abuse where considered as corrections and neglect as opportunities given to be responsible, even SA can be considered as your fault

Seeing someone say that I am actually a survivor and not a failure and knowing that I have the right to need and ask for help means a lot for me.

Everyone struggles at 21. You don’t need to make huge life choices. Get a job at Costco for the holiday season. They are a great company and you will be trained. Or temp

for a while through Kelly Services and see what you enjoy.

I have to agree with Kris. No one has a clue at 21. You have to learn all of this. Do things in steps. First a job or two (most young people work several jobs at once to get things going). Then a place to live. Create a budget and l8ve simply. Then create a support system so you have friends. Be a good friend. Then figure out therapy. You need to form a plan just like every thing in life. You work steadily towards each goal. No one gets there without work and determination.

No one is expected to have it all figured out at 21, it’s ok to not know everything. I too had extremely controlling and conservative parents, I know the challenges of your path. You can do this. Take on two jobs, conquer the bus schedule, then find your next challenge, when you master that, keep going. Be proud of yourself and what you are achieving. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and thankfully you have the internet at your disposal to help you learn things. Don’t expect changes overnight, you may have set backs but that’s ok too, don’t let it keep you down. One day you will be the one helping someone else overcome a rough spot. We are cheering you on and can’t wait for your update in a few months.

Feeling stuck and lost can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to men health. Low testosterone levels can contribute to fatigue, poor mood, and lack of motivation. Oral testosterone treatment can help restore balance, improve energy, and promote overall well being. https://www.rethinktestosterone.com/blog/mens-health-tips
