Interview/ position updates

Interview/ position updates

Is it normal to be sought out by internal recruiter to interview, receive very positive feedback, state that they want to make an offer, get salary data, have some additional interviews, then receive feedback that I am the top candidate and then - nothing? Every time I follow up, they respond that the position has not been filled, I am still considered- for three months now? Why don't they just say I didn't get it? I miss the closure in this.

Have you sent a professional note to the CEO? Let them know of your continued interest in the company and the role. Share the last positive email with them from the interview process and let them know that you expect another offer shortly but they are still your number one. Ask for closure, time box it and say that if you do not hear from them with positive news you will be removing yourself from consideration for now. If that does not get closure or an offer, move on and let it go.

If you want closure, reach out to them one last time "Due to the extended period of time this process is taking, I am respectfully withdrawing my application. Best of luck in your efforts to fill this role."
