I’m disabled and I have a three year old that’s not in school yet! I’m looking for a remote job with flexible hours and a reputable company. Any ideas?

If you're looking for flexible remote work while managing a disability and a toddler, think about jobs such as Virtual Assistant, Transcriptionist, Data Entry Clerk, or Freelance Writer. Check out platforms like FlexJobs and Indeed, along with specialized sites like Chronically Capable, which link you to trustworthy companies that provide part-time or project-based opportunities. You can make the most of your organizational skills, even if you don't have previous experience.

Linkedin has plenty of choices ranging from entry level consultancy. Just specify "remote" only when you set searches. Also, pay sites like Flexjobs.com are good sources if you streamline saved searches and remember to cancel when no longer needed.

You can search in dedicated remote job sites specifying your criteria. Some allow a few applications per day free of charge.

If you have a college degree, try one of the online tutoring companies; most of the available work would be on evenings/weekends. Do you have a spouse/partner to watch your child during those times? Most jobs, even online ones, require your full attention. Would your disability stop you from running an in-home daycare? That way you could take care of your child, he/she would have playmates, and you would earn some money.

YES to all of this. Why do so many people think being remote means they no longer have to have daycare for their children or that they can take any time they need off no matter what, drs appt, running to Costco while it is not as busy (had someone who had to come in the office say they had to leave so they could shop while it was not as busy). You summed it up well, remote is a location, not the job.
