Moved to a new area and accepted a position I'm but ready to find a better role. I was grateful that I was able to work and save money after relocating and I'm well compensated for this area. That being said, t's not the type of role I'm seeking for a career and the company is disorganized & I don't have the power to change things.

My last role was a higher position. Is there a way that I can indicate that this role was temporary after moving, list other roles first or should I avoid listing the position? My worry of removing my current role, make it look like I'm still living in the previous location and this town values local candidates. I'd appreciate your advice!

Sometimes companies favor candidates who aren’t from the area. It may be an advantage of leaving your current employer off. Either way it’s your resume which should represent the story you want to tell.

I would leave your current role on the resume but in your summary highlight your achievements in your previous role, also give more space to that previous role.

Select achievements from all of your positions that align with the role you are seeking. Think about how your efforts added to the bottom line, streamlined operations, added to the customer base, or otherwise contributed to the company.
