This might seem a really stupid question.

This might seem a really stupid question. I am going to a conference next week. It is for people sort of around my industry, but not directly in it. I have a presentation I am giving on one of the days. I have been working mostly at home since the pandemic. I haven't traveled for work in about 8 years. As a whole, my industry is not super businessy. Most people work at home. This is a different part of that industry. I don't have any very business clothes. I have business casual and can certainly make myself look nice. But I have never worn a suit nor to do I want too.. So how "fancy" should I be? My boss will be there for my talk and he is mostly business casual. Jeans and pull overs etc. I work for an IT company. Is that ok? I leave on Monday and certainly don't have time to find all new clothes. I am also going to be doing some sightseeing a day or two and would like to be comfy. I just want to make sure I am fitting in.

Business casual but no jeans for conference presenters!

    You will do great.

As anonymous said, no jeans. Typically, presenters dress a level up from the attendees. So, dress, skirt, or slacks vs. jeans, closed-toe shoes vs. sandals. But it sounds like a suit would be overkill.
