No, they are AI generated and they are throwing a net wide to see who will respond.

I am more suspicious because I am trying to surviving identity fraud. I do extra searching now when I get contacted by recruiters from new offices. If they found info in a database breach, then you are risking more than a new role.

Do the research. Look up companies online. Check for corporate entity in whatever state the official address appears. I stopped responding to companies that aren't valid entities. It doesn't take much to become one. So keep in mind that someone could spend $100 to $300, creating flashy website and feel authorized to collect SSN's for contracted roles for big name employees. Hiring fraud exists.

I try to vet the firm as much as possible. So far a few interviews but nothing offered. And some serious ghosting from these professionals who started strong but did not follow thru when I was not the final candidate. I have a bit of bitterness!!!

I recently went through a similar phase and ended up finding some unexpected info about my relatives. If you’re ever looking for a starting point, I checked out some MyHeritage reviews on PissedConsumer before trying it myself, and it helped set realistic expectations. It’s not perfect, but it definitely gave me a few solid leads I wouldn’t have found otherwise. Kinda cool (and weird) to learn how small the world can be once you start connecting the dots.
