Last year, I experienced the profound impact of a "reduction in workforce" after dedicating two decades of hard work and loyalty to my previous company.

Since then, I've been actively searching for new employment opportunities where I can leverage my skill set effectively.

Throughout this job hunt journey, I've encountered a notable disappointment in the lack of personal interaction and the prevalence of automated responses in rejection emails. It's disheartening to see a trend where genuine human connection is replaced by impersonal AI-generated messages. This sentiment seems to echo across various platforms, including LinkedIn and other job boards, where countless individuals share similar experiences.

It's important to recognize that there are numerous qualified professionals eagerly seeking employment opportunities. These individuals possess valuable skills and a genuine desire to contribute meaningfully to companies. Dismissing them with automated responses does a disservice not only to these individuals but also to the potential growth and success of your company.

I urge you to consider the human aspect of the hiring process and the impact it has on both candidates and your organization. Embracing genuine engagement and communication can foster stronger connections and ultimately lead to the discovery of exceptional talent that aligns with your company's goals and values.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my perspective.

Genuine engagement takes time and consideration which are not valued these days.

Instant gratification on behalf of HR. Plus younger and unemployed willing to work for less and firms know it.

If you get vacation, retirement and a competitive salary, many who have nothing will work for MUCH less- despite much less experience and fewer emotional EQ

Just because you receive an automated response, that doesn't mean that email wasn't triggered by a human. If you're in the US, it most probably was.

I'm not an HR person, but I am currently looking to add a role to my team. The number of resumes we get - 99% of which are totally not what we're looking for - makes it impossible to respond individually. The ease with which job seekers can throw resumes out to any posting has also added a huge burden to those in charge of hiring.

For example, this is a landscaping sales/design role, and we get resumes from people who have zero industry experience whatsoever. Even that would be fine if they tailored their resume to highlight relevant experience for the role and/or wrote a cover letter explaining why they think they're a good fit. But most of what we see is the equivalent of spam.

If you're getting generic emails after an interview, that is super disappointing. I'm sorry this process is so difficult!
