I took a 6 month break from working for family reasons, expecting to find a new job quickly. It hasn't worked out and now funds are running low. Any suggestions on how to make money right away while job hunting? Need money in hand in 2 weeks!

Contact a temp agency to get you on their payroll asap. Kelly Staffing is a pretty big one, Robert Half, google staffing firms in your area, call them too to get your resume in their system for any job that fits. Hope that helps some, and good luck!

Good luck! They say everyone is hiring but I’m not seeing that at all.

I would consider taking out an add for housekeeping work, after school childcare, dog walking, things like that.

6 months is a long time to take off work. The job market is unstable right now. You could always do Uber, Lyft or Door Dash for fast money.

Look into temporary agencies. They can provide immediate jobs and sometimes they go perm. Good luck.

If you live in a place that has local businesses, esp. ones that you frequent, or could use your skills, ask them.

Several employers (farmers markets, small businesses, colleges, stores) seek temporary staff to prep for the holidays.

Contact temp agencies, any groups you're affiliated with (house of worship, women's groups, leadership, associations), let them know.

    Good luck!

Door Dashing. I make between 15-30 per hour. Paid same day. No taxes taken out so it is like making 30-40 dollars as a W2.

I am a prior tax accountant. Very well versed in being self employed. I also know how to maximize my deductions to my advantage.

Again, prior tax accountant. Tell the lady above you to mind her own bank accountant. I won’t apologize for retiring at 50 years and I get to do whatever I want..
