Wondering if others have accepted a remote job offer OR a job marketed as remote with limited in-office presence for the company to then put out a mandate for an office presence?

Never experienced this. Depending on commute or other circumstances (tenure, et al(

So many variables. Unfortunately remote is dwindling bit in my situation, I have to reserve a desk at office so it's EXPECTED im home unless a meeting, etc.

Yes the job posting said remote and the contract says “remote local”. Just trying to figure out how to navigate this

Did you ask about it during your interview? what happens if the company moves to an in office mandate?

Can you talk to HR or your manager and say look - I applied for this role because it was listed as remote and it said that in my contract - The company is saying that that is not allowed anymore - Do I need to follow the company mandate - if so, can we find a compromise? 2 days in the office?

Since it's in your contract you probably have a leg to stand on.

Yes currently going through my manager and director. I have the contract and in the interview they said max 1x a month and now the requirement is 8x a month
