Scammers on here? I had this happen recently and want to know if anyone else has had it happen and to warn you if it hasn't. I had someone respond to one of my posts. She asked me to send my resume, linkedin profile etc so they could take a look.. and then I've never heard anything since. They did exactly what I mentioned in my post- ghosted me. I had looked up the name of this person before I sent everything and they seemed legitimate but because I can't see the picture on here, I had no way of verifying that is the same person. Is this site monitored by anyone? Would you be concerned? Thanks.

What, specifically, would you be concerned about? Unless you're putting confidential info on your resume like your social security number - which no one should be doing - I'm thinking most, if not all, of the info on your resume is also publically available on LinkedIn.

Not sure what someone would have to gain. Most probably you weren't a fit for the position after getting a more indepth look at your experience/background.

I'm not sure what they have to gain either. I guess just getting a thrill out of kicking people while they are down? To be a truly ugly person? You are correct - it really doesn't make sense for someone to tell you how wrong it is to ghost people and keep your head up- and then do the same thing to them. It certainly would take an especially nasty, narcissistic and sick person to do that to someone especially on a site like this right?

Ghosting sucks hard no matter what the circumstances.
