I’ve done it once in the past and was lucky to land another role within a couple weeks. Would I do that now? Absolutely not! It’s hard to gauge when you’ll land that next opportunity even if you have savings to cover expenses and what not. I will recommend to update your resume (if you haven’t done so) and to also find joy in things outside of work to help alleviate some of the dread. With me, it was being around my family or friends or working out. I hope you land your dream role and wish you all the best because it is hard to stay at an employer where you are at your wit’s end and want to leave.
