Had a customer post a bad review of me and also posted a hideous photo of me on Google review and it seems like it is going to be hard to remove. The customer was stealing and when I asked her to pay she took a photo of me and posted on Google review and also posted terrible lies about me and the company I work for. Any advice would help on how to deal with the situation emotionally or in how to get it removed I am the supervisor and I have a hard time dealing with confrontation.

This is so mean of people to do. Who are these people sticking phones in our faces and then posting them anywhere on the internet. If this person was unhappy for whatever the reason, they can leave a bad review but keep names and unauthorized pictures out of it. This needs to be against the law. I would definitely speak to a contingent lawyer about this and see if you can sue this person. They will never do that mean shady sh*t again. Sorry you are going through this situation.

Copied from Justia: If they are false statements of fact, they can be considered defamation in some circumstances, or more specifically libel because they are written statements. Not knowing what was posted, it's impossible to give further advice. I agree, contact Google. Sometimes though, a simple letter from an attorney will do the trick.

Hi everyone... Thank you all for the advise. So here is an update. The company I work has an account manager who's deals with issue like this and they are working to get the review down.. and that it should be down pretty quickly. Will see what happens.

Unfortunately anyone can post a review true or untrue. Work with google and have it removed. This does take awhile but I can be removed.

That situation sounds incredibly stressful — especially when you're just trying to do the right thing and someone twists the story publicly. I’ve been in a similar position where a false review affected both me and my team. It helps to have documentation and calmly escalate through the right support channels. If your issue overlaps anything digital, like policy violations on platforms or listings, google store has a support route that might be worth exploring. Sometimes just knowing there’s a process can take a bit of that emotional weight off.
