Am I being ghosted?

Am I being ghosted?

Last year, I was a finalist for a job at a major company in my industry. The internal recruiter that was managing that position reached out to me recently about another similar position that is opening up and wanted to know if I was interested - which I am. The recruiter reached out to me to find a time to go over the opportunity in more detail and asked if I was available that day. I gave the recruiter my availability, but they never responded. I followed up a few days later, but still no response. I’m confused since the recruiter is the one that initiated the conversation, but it feels like I’m being ghosted.

It's the holiday season, could it be that they are off for a bit? Give it 2 weeks until after the New Year and see what happens.

It was way too early and the recruiter jumped the gun I think. Chances that the role is not quite approved.

Too early to tell but it could also be that the recruiter touched base with the hiring manager and they indicated a different direction, perhaps they have an internal candidate and the hiring manager wants to promote from within. It wouldn’t hurt to reach out again after the new year, but if you don’t get a response then, move on.

It's hard to know what's going on in these situations and you might be ghosted, Or the recruiter could have had a personal emergency... I have learned to sit back and wait on these things and not get into over analysis... Fate will open the right doors for you andclose the others so just relax. It really doesn't matter what you think the recruiter.Or the company is doing... The best way for you to use your energy right now is on positivity and being your best person for the perfect job that is waiting for you
