My boss called me Friday night and announced she was switching me to a different department and fully changing my job... That was super sketchy and I wasn't happy about it. I trained for less than 8 hours with a woman I thought I would be teaming up with, only for her to be fired during an all-staff meeting. That was even more sketchy. Aaaand now I'm seeing all the issues that the woman they fired was pointing out and getting guff for also pointing out these issues.

I need a new job ASAP... this feels toxic AF.

Definitely very sketchy. But finding a new job is hard so I would treat it like a temp placement for now. This is the type of scenario where "quiet quitting" is completely appropriate.

Start looking and hang in as long as you can. If things straighten out, and you find yourself happy and satisfied with the position, you can always withdraw applications. If something happens or you need to get out, you are much further along than if you wait for something to happen.
